What is RuneScape: Dragonwilds?
RuneScape: Dragonwilds is an open-world co-op survival crafting game from Jagex, set on Ashenfall, a forgotten continent of Gielinor where dragons have awoken. Play solo or with up to three friends as you gather, build, skill and craft your way across a hand-built world.
It is the first RuneScape title built on Unreal Engine 5 and the first in the series' 25-year history to launch on consoles. Eighteen months of Early Access added the decayed realm of Fellhollow, the Zamorakian fortress of Dowdun Reach, the sun-scorched Umbral Sands, a full level 99 skill cap and dedicated servers.

RuneScape: Dragonwilds Beginner Guide
Dragonwilds drops you on Ashenfall with stone tools, three quietly draining survival meters and no shops to buy your way out. Follow the Dragon Slayer questline, seal your first shelter and keep Hydration, Sustenance and Rest topped up before you push inland.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds Gear Tier List
Dragonwilds tracks gear two ways at once: material tiers you craft and Power Levels that decide whether a region is survivable. Armour Power Level is averaged across every slot and rounded down, so one high-tier chest piece will not carry an under-tier loadout into the next zone.
Dragon and Kuldra's Wrath (PL9). Raid rewards from Kuldra in the Scorned Wilderness: your first kill guarantees the Dragon Kiteshield, then repeat runs earn the rest of the set
Rune, Black Dragonhide and Ancestral (PL8), all crafted in the Scorned Wilderness. Runite and Luminite Ore need an Adamant Pickaxe or better, and Vis Cloth runs through the Advanced Spinning Wheel
Adamant, Red Dragonhide and Infinity Robes (PL7, Umbral Sands) then Mithril, Blue Dragonhide and Mystic (PL6, Dowdun Reach). Ascension Cores come from the Nightmare Crucible
Steel, Green Dragonhide and Splitbark (PL5, Fellhollow) down through Iron (PL4) and Bronze (PL3) to the Stone, Bone and Reinforced starter kit (PL1-2)
RuneScape: Dragonwilds Skills & Leveling
Every Dragonwilds skill levels by doing the matching activity, and all of them run to level 99 with no separate grind session required. Levelling gates Skill Spells, passive stamina and crit bonuses, and the processed materials your next gear tier depends on.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds Boss Order
The Kuldra's Saga campaign runs as a numbered quest chain, and every region past the starting pair is locked behind a boss. Their Power Levels climb 4 to 5 to 6 to 7 to 8, so each fight is a gear check on the region you just cleared rather than a measure of how long you have played.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds Map & Regions
Ashenfall is five regions plus the 1.0 endgame zone, and the difficulty gradient is the setting's whole premise: the Anima Twist grows stronger the deeper inland you go. Regions are gated by quests and bosses rather than by level.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds Crafting Stations
Recipes in Dragonwilds are never bought. They unlock when you first hold a material, when you build a new station, or when you find plans in chests and Dragonkin vaults. Each bench opens a different branch of gear.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds Co-op & Dedicated Servers
Dragonwilds supports solo play, four-player hosted worlds and six-slot dedicated servers, and 1.0 added full crossplay between PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2. A dedicated server keeps one persistent world online around the clock.

Magic in Dragonwilds runs on Anima and Rune Essence, and it is not only about damage. Skill Spells speed up gathering, travel and base work as much as they do combat, which is why the magic system is woven through the whole survival loop.
